Kath is the longest serving member of the A1 K9 dog training team originally joining us in 2002 having previously worked as a volunteer at another kennels whilst earning her money as a hairdresser.

Kath always wanted to work with dogs and whilst she had no training experience when joining A1 K9 she learned quickly, spurred on by her passion to be a dog trainer and to pursue the career that she had always dreamed of.

Four years on and Kath is still as dedicated to her work and has become quite an accomplished dog trainer having learned much from both Gaynor and Charles as well as other old team members like Martin and Austin.

Kath is an associate member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (soon to become a full member) and is also an accredited security dog handler.

Kath is now responsible for the day to day running of the kennels as well as supervising and tutoring the younger members of the team – she tells us it is still her dream job and we feel very lucky to have found her.

Kath's lovely personality and caring attitude make her as popular with our customers as with the members of staff in charge.
