Our Personal Protection Dogs - The Facts

Our dogs are highly skilled at dealing modern day threats and protect using knowledge gained from the intensive training that they receive whilst at our dog training facility.

Personal protection dogs that have been properly trained are outwardly friendly until faced with a potential threat, at which point the dog will then bark at the would be assailant to attempt to drive them away. Should the threat persist, the dog will upon command from the handler respond by biting and holding the aggressor's right arm and will continue to hold until it is commanded to release.

A1 K9 personal protection dogs are taught to bark at a would be assailant to keep them at a safe distance from the handler
The higher the level of threat the more determined the trained personal protection dogs defence becomes. After all warnings have been ignored and as the threat of an attack on the handler becomes iminent the trained personal protection dog is commanded to stop the assailant. A1 K9 trained personal protection dogs are taught to bite and hold the arm and will not release until commanded by the handler to do so. Threat neutralised and the A1 K9 dog returns to safe pet mode - incredible but true!
The dog is taught to back off a threatening person.
Keeping them at bay with a show of aggression. Ultimately the dog is taught to bite and hold when the handler gives the correct command or when the threat becomes intense.
If the dog was commanded to do so it would allow the neutralised aggressor to pet it, such is the control

Once the aggressor has been neutralised or the immediate threat has been removed, the dog will return to being friendly and would if given the appropriate command even allow the aggressor to pet it. It is important to remember that our dogs are trained to give a controlled aggressive response either automatically when the handler is under immediate risk of attack, the owners property is being invaded, or when the handler puts the dog on alert. The dogs that we train remain sociable at all other times. - Amazing but true, this is why A1K9 Personal Protection dogs are the best

Our dogs are quite at home accompanying their owners in the car which can prove a very useful deterrent to would be car jackers!

No need to set the alarm in this car as there is a trained A1 K9 companion waiting patiently for its owners return. An A1 K9 trained personal protection dog would give a very stern warning to a would be carjacker or radio thief.
They are quite happy to sit patiently and take in the surroundings.

They will however defend vigorously when required!

Over the last 3 0r 4 years we have been supplying more and more of our trained K9's to customers across Europe, many, to Southern Spain, Mallorca and the South of France as these areas are unfortunately becoming the target of more crime. Part of our customer service when supplying dogs to families not based within the UK can often be to send the dog and our trainers to their location to deliver and provide handover and refresher training on site. We have many customers with yachts and part of the handover can be acclimatising your new dog to life aboard so as he is able to accompany you when out on the boat.

There is obviously an additional cost involved for this service but for customers who do not have the time in their schedules to visit the UK for training, or for those where specialised training and environment conditioning has to take place on site, this is a service that we are able and pleased to offer.

Personal Protection Dogs from A1 K9 are frequently delivered by our experienced trainers to locations across Europe, so as the handler training can take place in and around your home. Many of our customers with yachts also wish to take their dog aboard and on several occasions we have been asked to help get the dog used to life on the ocean waves.

An A1K9 personal protection dog is a highly obedient dog, a trusted friend and loyal companion.
